| UNITED IN PURPOSE. STRONGER TOGETHER.
Since the fall of 1968, the Pennsylvania Career Fire Chiefs Association has stood for leadership, collaboration, and a unified voice for the fire service across the Commonwealth.
Our story began when York City Fire Chief Robert W. Little, Jr. brought together his counterparts from Harrisburg and Lancaster to address the challenges facing their communities. What started with a shared commitment to firefighter safety and a changing labor landscape helped lay the foundation for a statewide organization built on partnership, advocacy, and progress.
Today, our mission reaches all 67 counties of Pennsylvania. We advocate for our career fire chiefs and firefighters while standing shoulder to shoulder with our volunteer service partners. Because protecting our communities is not a competition between career and volunteer services — it is a shared responsibility that demands unity, respect, and collaboration.
When you see our logo, know what it represents: a legacy of leadership, a commitment to progress, and an association united in standing up for what matters most. We bring the concerns of our members to the table, strengthen the relationships that move our profession forward, and work together to advance fire protection, emergency response, and firefighter safety throughout Pennsylvania.
Our history defines our foundation. Our unity drives our mission. Our leadership shapes the future. |
