Rick energized the room with leadership lessons drawn from his 24-year Major League Baseball career, emphasizing precision leadership, building trust, and never giving up on yourself.

He shared insights on how the game of baseball has evolved and highlighted striking parallels between a catcher commanding the field and a fire chief serving as incident commander at an emergency scene.
